Zambia Tip #6

What is an appropriate Christmas gift for your Zambian friends?  I'll tell you.  A live chicken! The Zambians say "It's not Christmas in Zambia unless you have a chicken".  Heather and I were too "chicken" to go buy live chickens for our friends so instead we made the above Christmas cards.  They contained enough money for our friends to go buy a live chicken (21,000 kwacha which is about $4).  These cards were a big hit!

Side Note: We buy live chickens for lunch at the village on Saturdays. I promise that once you've eaten fresh chicken you'll never want frozen again!

Merry Christmas, Randy and Heather! I've really enjoyed your blog. Not sure which would be worse - Don Williams or Kapenta. But at least the chicken is good!!
