We've been here three weeks through Zambian elections and all and we wanted to update y'all on what we've been working on! We've been doing a lot of work with our Zambian office but this week we finally got to visit some of the kids that came through the Camp Life program this summer. The pictures below are of a little orphan girl named Maggie (green shirt) and her sister Susan (smaller in off-white tank top) who now live with their aunt and cousins. You can tell that Maggie has not been held or nutured emotionally in her current situation and so when we arrived she wanted to be held the whole time (they are sooooo darling!!!!)

Holly and I brought them ring pops, then we took them to our Community Resource Center in Kamanga that has just been opened in the past month so that they know where it is to get help, and then we took them for lunch (big orange juices and meat pies for all, yum :) (it was the best three hours I've spent in a long time!!!). We visited them in the middle of the day and no one was home except for the kids. The little darlings!

Randy is having the best time working on the Tree of Life Children's Village. The current phase will be 7 houses holding 12 orphans each. Here is a picture of Lahema's house, dedicated to an orphan girl that died of AIDS in 2006.
